Digital TV Switch Over
In October 2012 the R.O.I. turned off Analogue Terrestrial TV Broadcasts and therefore now only have a Digital TV service. The Broadcast Standard chosen by the Irish Authorities is different to the rest of Europe and as such any Standard Definition TV's bought in the UK or else where in Europe will not work in Ireland.
You can watch British and European programmes via satellite whilst in R.O.I. but not RTE.
If you have a normal TV and want to watch Irish Broadcasters such as RTE then you will need to purchase an Irish set top box in Ireland. Thier equivalent to Feeview is called Saorview.

The PU4 TV Aerial is a High Gain Directional Aerial.
PU4 Aerial - Description
The PU4 TV Aerial is High Gain in it's own right and therefore does not require a booster/amplifier like most TV Aerials in the leisure market. The PU4 has double diamond shaped elements that allow reception of both Horizontal and Vertically Polarised TV Signals without the need to rotate the aerial through 90 deg as a conventional areial would. The elements are stainless steel and the rear reflector is powder coated steel making the PU4 both durable and rust resisant. The PU4 aerial is mounted vertically on an external pole/mast with the supplied "U" bolt clamp. We supply the aerial with 10m of high grade digital cable as standard but can offer a different length to order on request.
