Digital TV Switch Over
In October 2012 the R.O.I. turned off Analogue Terrestrial TV Broadcasts and therefore now only have a Digital TV service. The Broadcast Standard chosen by the Irish Authorities is different to the rest of Europe and as such any Standard Definition TV's bought in the UK or else where in Europe will not work in Ireland.
You can watch British and European programmes via satellite whilst in R.O.I. but not RTE.
If you have a normal TV and want to watch Irish Broadcasters such as RTE then you will need to purchase an Irish set top box in Ireland. Thier equivalent to Feeview is called Saorview.

Cello Traveller 19" 12v TV/DVD - Description
The latest 19" Cello Traveller 12v/24v/230v LCD/LED TV is now housed in a black Ultra Slim cabinet. It has a High Definition LED backlit LCD screen and an integrated HD FTA Satellite Receiver as well as a Terrestrial "Freeview" tuner. Coupled with an integrated DVD player and pause record to a USB Flash Drive or HDD this new generation of TV's give incredible flexibility in your viewing choice.
Whilst designed for use on a Caravan 12v system this TV is ideal for domestic use if you live in a poor reception area unable to receive reliable Freeview. A Satellite dish with a multiple LNB can feed several rooms in your home.
External HD sources can be connected via a rear HDMI socket plus unlike some similar TV's there is still a Scart socket for connecting Standard Def equipment. There is a USB socket as found on many modern TV's allowing the connection of a flash memory stick/HDD for pausing/recording and playing back TV programmes/films.
It is supplied with a pedestal for use free standing or can be mounted on a bracket if you prefer via the standard VESA mounting points on the back.

Cello Traveller 19" 12v TV - Mounting on a bracket
The Cello Traveller comes supplied with a pedestal for use free standing but can be mounted on a "VESA" compatible bracket if you prefer. We can supply a range of brackets and short bolts if required as many brackets are supplied with longer bolts for mounting tradional LCD TV's that are deeper.
Cello Traveller 19" 12v TV - Connecting to 12v circuit
The Cello Traveller 19" is supplied with a 12v lead terminated in a cigar type plug. If your vehicle has a different type of socket you should purchase an adapter either from us or your local caravan dealer. Details of our adapters can be found in the accessories section.
When connecting the TV you should follow the same safety princple as connecting your hook up lead, when setting up connect the TV end first, wall socket end second. When packing away disconnect the wall socket end first, TV end second. You should also turn the TV off completely with the main on/off switch on the bottom of the TV as if you connect the power with the TV turned on the surge of power can blow the fuse. It is also good practice to save your valuable battery power.
