The New Avtex L185DRS launched to run along side the existing L185DR has two significant differences compared to the sister model. The most significant and the reason for the letter "S" in the model name is the inclusion of a High Definition FTA Satellite receiver as well as the Terrestrial Tuners. The second difference is the styling change to have a glass panel accross the whole of the front of the TV as first seen on the largest Avtex model, the L215DR. The second NEW Avtex Model is the slightly smaller 16" W164DRS. Like the larger L185DRS it has the same differences compared to the W164DR Terrestrial only model which as also been reduced in price. The L215DR was the first Avtex to be styled differently to the normal "Picture Frame" front cabinet with a glass panel that completely covers the front. The L215DR also has a pedestal type stand first seen on the L185DR. Compared to the 16" models that have a rear leg and therefore lean backwards slightly the L215DR can be positioned vertical allowing a better viewing angle for those with a low seating position relative to the TV's position. FREEVIEW for Caravan's and Motorhome'sThe majority of us use Freeview in our houses and would like the better picture and sound quality plus the extra channels whilst away in our Motorhome, Caravan or Boat. The majority of the TV sets we sell have two tuning systems. A conventional Analogue one and a Digital one for reception of Freeview (DVB-T). Due to the Digital (FREEVIEW) signal strength not being as strong as the Analogue broadcasts, it is not available on all camp sites and a High Gain Aerial like our PU-4 is required in most areas.
