The first Avtex 12v TV/DVDs to use the latest generation of LCD screens with LED backlight is the W103D All-in-One. It has a 10.1” Widescreen and a compact cabinet making it ideal for those who require a state of the art entertainment system but are restricted on space. This new for 2010 model builds on the success of the previous W102D and includes several significant improvements.
The W103D has the now familiar AQT one button Tuning system making it very easy to set up when you move to a new campsite/mooring. It also now includes MHEG5 like its bigger brothers that allows it to Auto-sort the Digital Freeview channels when it has found them along with access to Interactive Services.
The W103D also has a CI slot should you wish to watch subscription services i.e. a replacement to Setanta Sports.
One of the most interesting features of this brand new 2010 model is the capability to record to a USB pen drive or external hard drive. Whilst it does not have the full functionality of a separate PVR (no variable speed on playback for example) it does allow you to record that all important soap episode to watch later.
This high spec unit has two TV tuners, a conventional Multi-Standard Analogue & a Digital DVB-T (Freeview) one. This means that whilst we are in the transitional switch over period you should always be able to receive something in most locations and of course it will work anywhere in the UK & Europe after switch over. If there’s nothing you fancy on live TV then you can always watch a DVD, listen to an Audio CD or even review your Digital Images. As well as the DVD transport there are flash memory card readers and a USB port for access to Digital Image and Music files.
The W103D can be used free standing on the folding leg or if you prefer it can be mounted on a bracket via the rear VESA mounting points. Due to the W103D being compact and light weight Avtex have their own brackets rather than using one of the many aftermarket brackets that are quite heavy and bulky for this particular set.

PLEASE NOTE:
An important factor to remember is that Caravan’s & Motorhome’s unlike our houses, don’t have a separate room for cooking and therefore steam and grease can deposit on your flat screen TV over a period of time. Most advanced LCD TFT screens are made of or are coated with synthetic material. This material is by definition porous. This is the main reason that virtually all non purpose developed cleaners lead to hairline scratches, discolouring, reduced brightness and eventually permanent damage. If you clean an LCD screen using wipes, it is possible to damage the screen with pressure points from your fingers. We recommend CleanSafe Screen Cleaner to take care of and prolong the life of your flat screen TV. It includes a safe cleaning fluid and a flat applicator pad to avoid pressure points.
